start-up advisory

Axeon assists startup entrepreneurs and companies that have a great idea, patent, or business opportunity to take their ideas to the next level by formulating strategy, arranging supporting finance and building institutional capacity through the coaching of top managers to execute at the tactical level.

Axeon focuses on new or emerging ventures looking for their seed, first or second round of capital from venture capital, or private equity firms and funds, while creating the practical playbooks on which success is based. We develop the business plans, structures, systems and benchmarks that are the basics of growth — and coach top-level managers on how to execute from that playbook.

Axeon assists entrepreneurs in technology and other sectors with the creation and the development of their startup. Specifically, Axeon provides assistance in regard to:

  • Framing, drafting and presentation of a business plan
  • Fiscal, legal and administrative matters as part of the start-up phase
  • Preparation of financial models, including brainstorming on key assumptions, the creation of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow model simulations under different scenarios, preliminary startup valuation and ;
  • Presentation of results to potential third party investors.

Axeon does not act as a principal in raising venture capital but rather as placement agent with venture capital firms. Axeon, in agreement with the client/entrepreneur, can be compensated through a combination of advisory fees and by becoming a partner/shareholder of the startup, thus fully aligning its interests to those of the entrepreneur.

Our team has solid experience in the four interlocking fields that are the basis of everything we do: investment banking, corporate finance, strategic planning and hands-on management coaching. Our investment professionals work with company owners to prepare sale documents with all necessary information about the company and the proposed transaction. Our team may then seek investors on behalf of the seller, or liaise with prospective buyers on behalf of the sellers, and serve as the primary sell-side advisor from financial negotiations all the way through to the execution of the deal.
