Costas Karagiannis – Managing Partner

23 years of professional experience. He is the Managing Partner of Axeon a capital advisory firm assisting investors to place capital in tailored, direct private transactions, and helping startup companies to arrange supporting finance and build institutional capacity. Formerly, Partner & Co-CEO of Alpha Trust Investment Services, where he supervised the management of € 1.5 billion of private and institutional client assets – including the first technology Venture Capital fund ever established in Greece (Alpha Trust Innovation). He has successfully held senior executive positions within the Alpha Bank Group and the Bank of Piraeus, and was a VP at Salomon Brothers in NYC. Mr. Karagiannis has been the elected Chairman of the Hellenic Association of Investment Managers between 1999-2005, while he has also served as an Executive Director on the Board of the Hellenic – Securities Investor Protection Fund (SIPF) between 2000 and 2005. Mr. Karagiannis holds an MBA in International Banking from The George Washington University.

Thodoris Petrou – Senior Partner

15 years of professional experience in financial services. He is the General Manager of Axeon heading the Renewable Energy Finance team. Before joining the company he held the position of Deputy Operations Manager at the Alpha Trust Group where he supervised operations for circa € 1.2 billion in Assets under Management. Prior to that, he worked as a Credit Analyst at EFG Eurobank. Mr. Petrou is a registered Portfolio Manager certified by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and holds a B.Sc. in Financial Accounting.
